Magic damage is one of the four types of damage in League of Legends, the others being physical damage, true damage and pure damage (which exist on fountain turrets). Magic damage is dealt by some items and most champions' spells, though some spells deal physical or true damage.

Statistics influencing magic damage

Most magic damage can be increased with ability power, or attack damage in some rare cases, but some cannot be modified, such as Sunfire Cape's Sunfire Cape's damage per second or Bilgewater Cutlass' Bilgewater Cutlass' active against champions.

The amount of magic damage received is reduced by a certain percentage based on the target's magic resistance. The effectiveness of magic resistance can be reduced with magic penetration.

Controlling the Altar on the enemy's side of the map causes your basic attacks to burn targets for 12 - 114 (in base al livello) true damage over 3 seconds.

  • Luden's Echo Luden's Echo: Passive: Unique – Echo: Gains charges upon moving or casting. At 100 charges, the next instance of ability damage you deal will expend all charges to deal 100 (+ 10% AP) bonus magic damage to the first enemy hit and summon up to 3 lesser bolts that target nearby enemies, prioritizing enemies damaged by the ability and champions over minions.
  • Nashor's Tooth Nashor's Tooth: Passive: Unique: +15 (+ 15% AP) on-hit magic damage
  • Runic Echoes Runic Echoes: Passive: Unique – Echo: Gains charges upon moving or casting. At 100 charges, the next instance of ability damage you deal will expend all charges to deal 60 (+ 10% AP) bonus magic damage to the first enemy hit and summon up to 3 lesser bolts that target nearby enemies, prioritizing enemies damaged by the ability and champions over minions.
  • Skirmisher's Sabre Skirmisher's Sabre: Passive: Unique – Tooth and Nail: Basic attacks versus monsters deal 30 bonus physical damage and grant 15% bonus attack speed for 2 seconds. Damaging a monster by any means set it aflame, dealing an additional 80 magic damage over 5 seconds while causing you to restore 6 health per second for every enemy you're burning.
  • Stalker's Blade Stalker's Blade: Passive: Unique – Tooth and Nail: Basic attacks versus monsters deal 30 bonus physical damage and grant 15% bonus attack speed for 2 seconds. Damaging a monster by any means set it aflame, dealing an additional 80 magic damage over 5 seconds while causing you to restore 6 health per second for every enemy you're burning.
  • Statikk Shiv Statikk Shiv: Passive: Unique – Shiv Lightning: Your next basic attack (on-hit) sparks lightning to up to 5 nearby units, dealing 60 - 160 (in base al livello) bonus magic damage, increased to 99 - 264 (in base al livello) against minions.
  • Sunfire Cape Sunfire Cape: Passive: Unique – Immolate: Deals 26 - 43 (in base al livello) magic damage per second to nearby enemies. Deals 「 50% bonus 」「 39 - 64.5 (in base al livello) 」 magic damage to minions and monsters (325 range).
  • Tracker's Knife Tracker's Knife: Passive: Unique – Tooth and Nail: Basic attacks versus monsters deal 30 bonus physical damage and grant 15% bonus attack speed for 2 seconds. Damaging a monster by any means set it aflame, dealing an additional 80 magic damage over 5 seconds while causing you to restore 6 health per second for every enemy you're burning.
  • Thornmail Thornmail: Passive: Unique – Thorns: Upon being hit by a basic attack, reflects 25 (+ 10% bonus armor) magic damage, while also inflicting Grievous Wounds icon Grievous Wounds on the attacker for 1 second.
  • Wit's End Wit's End: Passive: Unique: +40 bonus on-hit magic damage
  • Zeke's Convergence Zeke's Convergence: Passive: Unique: Casting your ultimate near your Conduit grant you both bonus effects for 10 seconds. You are surrounded with a Frost storm which Slow icon slows enemies within it by 20%, and your Conduit's basic attacks burn their target with Fire dealing 50% bonus magic damage over 2 seconds (45 second cooldown). Passive: Unique – Frostfire Covenant: If an enemy is both struck by Frost and Fire, your Frost storm ignites and becomes Frostfire. A Frostfire storm, deals 40 magic damage per second and slows by 40% instead for 3 seconds.
